being a well-fed bad bitch is one of my fundamental goals in life.
in pursuit of said goal i thoroughly enjoy eating & thus when i say sandwiches are superior sustenance; no further questions, your honor.
hoes can be mad, idgaf.
the way my mind enters a realm of delicious desires once locked onto sandwich supremacy is… *chefs kiss*.
my wants, needs, & tastes run wild with the chance to consume tangible creativity on such an intentional level, very much finding magic in the mundane.
*sigh*, sandwiches are my quintessential dream meal.
as such, i’m sharing one of the saucier sandwiches i’ve made this year & how i’d make it better today.
first, ingredients: we have honey turkey, jerk turkey (hence the double), pepper jack slices, brioche buns, diced onions, roasted garlic sauce, sriracha, smoked paprika, black pepper, tomato, & chipotle mayo.
why jerk turkey AND honey turkey?
for pizazz &… we live to find indulgence in the smallest moments.
dice your tomatoes & add it to your ancestrally-guided dash of diced onions in a mixing bowl.
chop yo shit.
dicey dicey.
get knifey with your turkey then add it to your bowl.
season that meat.
paprika, black pepper, & garlic powder if ya nasty.
slut your bowl up with some sriracha, roasted garlic sauce, chipotle mayo & regular mayo.
mix that hoe up.
now for the secret shit, add some honey. why? cuz i gotta sweet tooth & it ended up tasting delicious.
once everything is mixed together well, spread some roasted garlic on your brioche bun, add pepper jack cheese, then slap that bih full of our chopped turkey mix & enjoy the incoming foodgasm.
things i’d do differently post eats: add chopped spinach & bacon to turn this into a double chopped turkey blt on brioche because… doesn’t that just sound fucking amazing? maybe add a little banana pepper to the chop for some crunch & razzle dazzle of acidity.
next time around, i’d toast my bun & melt the pepper jack cheese onto the top bun for a better bite.
would you try this saucy sandwich?
until i yap again, xx.
Okay but this looks good as hell!
First of all — yes to alladat! Second, I love this ode to the supremacy of Sammies. I would have that Sammy with a side of thin sliced plantain fries and love my life. Please make more of these so I can live vicariously while I detox. When I’m done I will join you in sharing my epic Sammy suggestions cuz this is everything!
Meanwhile, one of my dreams is to have a small resto called “off the menu” that features my random daily sandwich inspirations and food creations based off what I choose to use in the pantry that day. Imma find you when it’s time.
